Rinse, Recycle and Repeat

RNN Green

Most of us are pretty good about recycling kitchen waste but when it comes to the beauty products on our bathroom shelves we still have work to do!

Fact: we are throwing away around 2.7 BILLION plastic shampoo bottles every year, enough to fill 400 Olympic sized swimming pools – and that’s just shampoo!

That's why we thought we would spread the ‘Rinse, Recycle and Repeat’ initiative, launched by beauty brand Garnier. They have partnered with award-winning recycling company - TerraCycle - to create a free recycling programme for all beauty products packaging (and from ANY BRAND not just Garnier)

No matter where you live, in the UK or Republic of Ireland, if you can’t recycle through your local waste collection, send it free post to TerraCycle and they’ll make sure it’s recycled. Not only will you have the quiet satisfaction of doing the right thing, you will also raise money for good causes. For every item of Garnier packaging sent back you’ll receive TerraCycle points that can be redeemed as cash donations to your favourite non-profit organisation – which might be a school, a community centre, a sports club or a charity.

Log onto Garnier.co.uk/TerraCycle to fight the good fight and get started!
