Do we practise what we preach?

We’re huge fans of sponsorship and manage multiple sponsorships for clients every year. From small community events to major partnerships, sponsorship is in our blood as we truly believe that when implemented it can deliver 10-fold!

And we even practise what we preach! Just last week on International Women’s Day, RNN Communications was the main sponsor of Women in PR NI's flagship event at Parliament Buildings, Stormont, featuring the US Consul General, Elizabeth Kennedy Trudeau. And Why? The fit!

We’re huge supporters of the organisation that is Women in PR NI. It was founded by two inspirational ladies – Michelle Canning and Sara McCracken – who had an idea and have delivered on it, month on month, for one full year and with NO BUDGET! In just one year, they’ve created an inspiring network of communications professionals and an organisation that we’re proud to be part of.

So, why wouldn’t we support this – it made perfect sense! We maximised our involvement by:

- Launching the sponsorship with a photocall

- Issuing news on the event

- Creating social content that was drip-fed on the week prior to the event

- Commissioning bespoke RNN candles for every guest

- Inviting relevant clients and stakeholders

- Having the RNN Live film crew attend the event, delivering ongoing live stories across our social accounts

- Event photography

- Post-event video

- Post-event PR

This was a relatively small sponsorship but through ‘working it’ and investing in an upweight budget – we achieved some amazing results. Our social feeds reached their highest audience figures, we have secured multiple pieces of press coverage - on and offline - and we made some lasting relationships.

So, we do practise what we preach…promise! And the take away, if you’re going to go into a sponsorship, don’t just ‘do it’, ‘do it right’.
